The Pagan group is led by Charles Allen, a new member at MUUF.

Charles Allen was born in Kingsport, TN, and earned a Bachelor of Music Degree from Union University in Jackson, TN. His first teaching job was in Welch, WV, in 1989, and in 1996 he moved to Florida and was hired by the Sarasota County School Board. Charles joined Pagan Perspectives a year ago. He decided he wanted to support Manatee UU Fellowship when he learned that we had a Pagan Group meeting here.

Charles has recently joined the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) and would love to start a chapter at MUUF. We would be part of a national organization and we would be a place for local Pagans to gather and learn. There are only 2 CUUPS chapters on the west coast of Florida (Tampa and Ft. Myers). We would be in between those chapters, and it would make it easier for Pagans wanting to attend a CUUPS meeting. His hobbies are reading and watching old movies on TCM. He also plays the piano and recorder, and has recently begun harp lessons from Tasha Robinson. Charles has enjoyed the services at MUUF. He says they have been fun, informative and sometimes thought provoking. He says the guest musicians have been great, too. He loved the harp, of course, and also the couple who played the piano and English horn. (The Weintraub Duo)
