Next Sunday, November 29, Chris MacCormack will lead our service and speak about the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC) 80th Anniversary.
In this month’s Update, Rev. Fred wrote about a new coalition of congregations here in Manatee County called Manatee Justice Ministry with the long-term goal of addressing critical injustices in Manatee County with plausible and effective solutions. I hope you will take the time to read about this exciting new endeavor. MUUF has received assistance with our first-year membership by receiving a UUA Social Responsibility $1,000 matching fund grant. Beginning November 8, you can help us make this match by sending your donation to MUUF with the Memo line stating Manatee Justice Ministry or MJM. We will run this special collection campaign through November 22nd. In the months to come there will be more information about opportunities for our involvement with Manatee Justice Ministry. Thank you for your generosity.
What are you grateful for this week?
